MES Developer

Drive digital transformation in manufacturing as a MES Developer. You'll develop and implement Manufacturing Execution Systems that bridge the gap between enterprise planning and shop floor operations, enabling real-time visibility and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop MES applications using modern software development practices
  • Integrate MES systems with ERP, PLCs, and other manufacturing systems
  • Implement real-time data collection and analysis capabilities
  • Develop custom workflows for production tracking and quality management
  • Create intuitive user interfaces for shop floor operators and management
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to understand process requirements
  • Perform system testing, validation, and deployment activities
  • Provide technical support and training to end users
  • Maintain and enhance existing MES implementations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of software development experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and web technologies
  • Experience with MES platforms (Wonderware, Ignition, or similar)
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
  • Knowledge of database design and data modeling principles
  • Experience with API development and system integration
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Desired Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT)
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial systems
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (21 CFR Part 11, ISO)
  • Experience with mobile application development
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
Work Environment
